Brisbane Garden Show Winners

If you have a knack for garden landscaping (as well as lawn mowing), the recent Brisbane Garden Show was the place to enter your landscaping creations. Brisbane’s Pine Rivers Park in Strathpine played host from 8 – 11 October and blue skies abounded for the thongs of visitors to check out the displays of the Brisbane International Garden Show winners:

 

Gold Medal Winner & Best in Show: A&R Evergreen Brisbane Landscaping Services

Entitled “Backyard Evolution”, the gold medal winning landscaping design at this year’s Brisbane International Garden Show was designed by Clare James and Alistair Hutton of A&R Evergreen Brisbane Landscaping Services at 123 Boundary Rd, Rocklea.

 

Silver Medal Winner: Horticultural Training Pty Ltd

The theme of this design was serendipity and their design inspiration was infinity, longevity and good fortune.

 

Silver Medal Winner: SJ Landscapes and Marian Long Landscape Architecture

Saul Johnson is a multi-award winning Sunshine Coast Landscaper based in Sippy Downs near Buderim. The SJ Landscapes team specialise in out-of-the-ordinary structural work, retaining walls, pathways, pavers, decks, link block walls and sandstone. The team are members of QBCC, HIA, Landscape Queensland Industry Inc, Masters Builders Association and ilandscape.

Marian Long Landscape Architecture is an emerging landscape architectural practice noted for its novel approach to urban residential landscapes in Brisbane and Melbourne. Marian Long’s landscaping designs are interestingly influenced by her early career in film and television where her role involved designing and enhancing clever illusions for the camera.

 

Silver Gilt Medal Winner: Eden Landscape

Eden Landscape is a Division of the multi award winning Eden Gardens located in Carseldine, Queensland (with interstate locations in Victoria and New South Wales). The landscape design which earned them a silver gilt medal in this year’s Brisbane Garden Show was highlighted by vibrant orange accents together with rich, green, grassy lawn.

 

Silver Gilt Medal Winner: Waterscapes Australia

Waterscapes Australia is a Sunshine-Coast company based at 7 Pioneer Rd, Yandina. Waterscapes Australia have over 20 years of experience in pond and water garden design and construction. They build rock pools, billabongs, streams, wetlands and natural swimming ponds.
