3 Places to Visit for Morayfield Bonsai, Lawn Care & Garden Supplies

Morayfield is a huge residential suburb just before Caboolture if you’re heading north up the Bruce Highway from Brisbane. From small yards in the new estates to large Morayfield acreage properties in the older parts of town, Morayfield has lawns and gardens of all shapes and sizes.

If you’re new to town and want to know three places to visit for your bonsai, lawn care and garden supplies when you’re doing your landscaping, here’s our first three places to stop:

 

1. Bonsai Northside Nursery

This hidden gem is perhaps the best place to buy a bonsai tree or bonsai plant in all of Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and everywhere in between. It’s run by the passionate Tess Simpson who, together with her husband Selby, has put a great deal of time and effort into the cultivation of beautiful bonsai and some lovely Asian-style landscaping.

Not of all of Tess’s bonsai are for sale. Those that are, range in price from $20 to upwards of $4,000. How much you spend perhaps depends how much you love Bonsai and/or how much you want to impress the visitors you anticipate at your new Morayfield home and garden.

2. Bunnings Morayfield

Whatever garden supplies you need, Bunnings Morayfield probably has it. From grass to flowers, to power tools and lawn mowers to balloon lawn mowers (seriously!), Bunnings will be one of your first points of call because their mega size means that that can offer so much under one roof. And less stops buying supplies means more time mowing your lawn or cultivating your dream garden.

 

 

Thanks to the talented Simon Usher of Balloon Awesomeness (the only balloon guy I’ve ever met who’s booked up by Bunnings 13 months in advance!), we even scored a balloon lawnmower!

 

I wonder how many people noticed the ‘new’ push mower option at Bunnings that day?

 

3. Masters Morayfield

Whatever you cannot find at Bunnings, you can likely find at Masters, and vice versa. It just depends which one is more convenient or which one you prefer to support.

On display at the Morayfield store when we visited was a big stand devoted to the rechargeable EGO 56v Lithium-Ion Cordless Lawn Mower. Perfect for the small to mid-sized Morayfield lawns. The EGO POWER+ Mower claims to deliver the performance of petrol without the noise, fuss and fumes. We also noticed it features LED headlights for anytime mowing, morning or night. (Although we’re still not sure who would mow in the dark?)

 

Unlike the Morayfield Bunnings, Masters also had some ride-on mowers for sale. Perfect if you’re moving into Morayfield acreage or plan to start a Morayfield lawn mowing service!
