Tallowwood Park, Rosevalley Drive, Upper Coomera
When you’ve finished your weekend lawn mowing (or you’ve booked us to get it done for you!), one of the best and greenest places to hang out in Upper Coomera is Tallowwood Park. This huge park is an oasis of lush green grass for the children to run around on and for the adults to lie down on a picnic rug and relax on. Or maybe the other way around, if you’re one of the keen runners at the weekly 5km Coomera Parkrun held here.
In addition to the gorgeous green lawns, there’s ample playground equipment here, with BBQ facilities, toilets, two tennis courts (which can be converted to basketball courts if you obtain the lever to remove the nets from the court), an off-leash dog area, and a beautiful lake area to stroll around on a sunny Gold Coast day.

Upper Coomera Centre
Another great place to hang out in Upper Coomera is the Upper Coomera Centre, which was opened in 2013 as a local community hub for recreation, learning, sports and leisure opportunities.
The Centre is located at 90 Reserve Road (parking and entrance off Abraham Road) and includes a community and youth centre, library, customer service centre, Councillor’s office, aquatic centre and café.
The community centre offers a multi-purpose hall, meeting rooms, activity rooms, an art workshop, computer room, youth space and a kitchen – all available to hire by individuals, businesses or local community organisations.

Where is Upper Coomera?
Upper Coomera is a large, northern, inland Gold Coast suburb which is approximately 25km from the busy Surfers Paradise and 54km from the hustle of Brisbane’s CBD.
The Coomera / Upper Coomera area is considered to be one of the Gold Coast’s three major urban centres. The other two are Southport and Robina. Nearby suburbs include: Coomera, Coomera Island, Oxenford, Helensvale, Hope Island, Maudsland, Wongawallan, Pimpama, Willow Vale, Ormeau Hills, Kingsholme, Norwell, Guanaba, Cedar Creek, Pacific Pines and Gaven.
